Drinking Water Disinfection: The CT Concept (WT-85-CT):

This one-day course has been developed to provide operators an understanding of the role CT plays in providing safe drinking water through disinfection. The procedure for disinfection of drinking water will be thoroughly reviewed so that the contribution of both chemically assisted filtration and disinfection are understood. Sample calculations will be used to demonstrate how this information can be used in a water treatment plant setting. This course will be of interest to water treatment operators, and will also be of value to supervisory, engineering, and managerial personnel.

  • Chlorination refresher
  • Water sources and treatment requirements
  • Procedure for disinfection of drinking water in Ontario review
  • CT concepts, use of tables
