Trenching and Excavating Safety (SF-11-HO):
This half-day course has been designed to provide participants with a clear understanding of applicable provincial regulations, standards and the best practices for safe trenching and excavating.
What will be covered:
- Review regulations for construction projects as per applicable regional health and safety acts
- Comprehension related to: cave-ins, sloping, trench boxes, shoring, access & egress
- Inspection requirements
- Related hazards: PPE, underground lines, overhead power lines, heavy equipment
