Microorganisms (WWT-09-CT):
This one-day course provides the basics of microbiology in wastewater treatment. Participants will gain knowledge in the types of organisms present in wastewater and their characteristics. Participants will also be learning to diagnose treatment system problems based on the microbiology of the system.
What will be covered:
- Identification and classification of microorganisms
- Indicator organisms, and what they tell us
- Filamentous bacteria, causes and cures
