Corrosion Prevention and Control (WD-19-CT):

This introduction to the field of infrastructure corrosion provides a solid base for understanding corrosion problems and preventative opportunities. This course addresses corrosion problems related to electrically discontinuous piping systems. Attendees will be able to evaluate corrosive environments and understand the relationship between corrosion and other problems affecting distribution systems. This program will show several prevention alternatives including the application of DENSO petrolatum system, polyethylene encasement and cathode protection.
