This half-day course has been developed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the requirements for proper fire hydrant flow testing procedures that will achieve consistently accurate results.

  • Factors affecting available fire flows
  • Definitions
  • Proper flow testing procedures
  • Documentation
  • Hands-on training will cover:
    • Work zone setup/tailgate talk
    • Procedure review
    • Flow and residual hydrant selection
    • Set up and actual flow testing and data recording

Materials required:

  • Approved steel-toed protective footwear

Duration: ½ Day
